ABOUT
ME

Hi, my name is Sean Lynn.
My own journey with therapy began at a young age when I saw a therapist during my parent's divorce. Life propelled me in a direction that I would not have anticipated. Growing up, I wanted life to be simple and fun. It was shortly met with confusion, rage, feeling unmotivated in school, and low self-esteem.
As a kid, I kept my thoughts and feelings to myself, was addicted to playing video games all day, felt unconfident in sports, struggled with undiagnosed ADHD, had trouble making friends, and had constant self-doubt. Needless to say, my parents, particularly my mom, were worried. With the help of many mentors (including therapists) and loved ones, I was given a space to talk, vent, have fun, and given advice about life and even relationships. Now as a therapist, life brought me back to helping others struggling in their own way or similar to my own.

One of the most important things in a therapeutic relationship is honesty and trust. My approach to my clients is one of authenticity. I strive to impart about my own life and struggles combined with the clinical knowledge learned from my trainings and education to help others. As someone who greatly enjoys recreational and competitive sports, geeky TV shows, anime, the outdoors, and occasional video games, I hope to connect with my student-aged clients, and even adults. Often, we just need someone who can connect, listen to, and understand us especially at a young age.

My formal education in therapy began as a psychology major at the University of California, Los Angeles. I then pursued a Master's degree from Pepperdine University. After graduating, I worked as a school counselor in the South Bay area addressing students' behaviors of concern and attending Individualized Educational Plan (IEP) meetings. I realized I wanted a more holistic approach to my clients' lives and began my own practice here in Redondo Beach. I have greatly enjoyed being a part of this community and have had the privilege of working with students and adults who struggle with processing emotions, lack of motivation, anxiety, the impact of divorce, ADHD, and more.
