Beginning therapy for the first time can be intimidating. I commend you for taking the brave step of looking for a therapist and an even braver step towards change. I've laid out a few steps that may help you through this process.

Step 1. Schedule a free 15-minute phone consultation

I would love to connect with you to get to know you better and get a little bit of information about what's going on in your life. Therapy involves a therapeutic relationship between the client and therapist. Therefore, I hope to see how I can best help you in a casual phone conversation - click here to contact me.

Step 2. Fees (how much does therapy cost?)

So how much does each session cost? My fees differ for each client depending on your situation. I offer a sliding scale letting us collaborate on a fee that best works for your style of living. More of this information can be discovered in a phone consultation that I am happy to have with you.

What about insurance?

I am currently only paneled with Medi-Cal

Services may be partially or fully covered by your insurance provider depending on your out of network (OON) benefits. I recommend calling your insurance provider and finding out more information regarding your coverage.

Questions to ask your insurance:

-What are my out of network benefits for outpatient mental health?

-What is my out of network deductible?

-How much coverage do I get? (How much will insurance cover?)

-Do I have a limit on the number of sessions I am covered for?

I can also provide you with a Superbill (receipt of services) that you can submit to your PPO insurance for reimbursement from your insurance provider.

Step 3. Sessions

Sessions are typically 50 minutes long and seen on a weekly basis. However, the duration and frequency of sessions may be adjusted based on your needs and requests.
