Youth Athletes
Youth athletes have it tough. As wonderful and beneficial sports are, having added expectations, pressure from coaches and parents, and an often rigorous schedule add another layer of pressure on themselves. These youth can then find it challenging to get through mental hurdles and self-doubt created not just from themselves but from the environment around them as well. Parents can often believe they just need coping skills and tools to handle the pressure and self-doubt; however, as much as these tools can help, having them process and reframe the external pressures around them also greatly assists their confidence in their performance.
